Bihar Police Constable 2024 selection process
To be selected for Bihar Police Constable Recruitment 2024 candidates have to undergo the following selection process.
- Written Examination

Bihar Police Constable PET Date 2024
The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) of the above-mentioned selected candidates will be started from 09 December, 2024. Information regarding the date, place and admit card of the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) of the candidates will be available on the “Bihar Police” tab of the Board’s website https://csbc.bihar.gov.in from 12:00 pm on 21.11.2024, from where the admit card can be downloaded. Candidates who will not be able to download their e-admit card due to any reason can obtain duplicate admit cards on 05 December 2024 and 06 December 2024 from the office of Central Selection Board located at Bank Harding Road (near Secretariat Halt), Patna- 800001 from 10:00 am to 05:00 pm at their own expense.
Bihar Police Constable Physical Eligibility Test (PET) Details
The PET consists of multiple physical tasks designed to assess the endurance & strength of candidates. The key components include:
Race (Running)
- Male Candidates: Required to complete a 1.6 km race in 6 minutes or less.
- Female Candidates: Required to complete a 1 km race in 5 minutes or less.
High Jump
- Male Candidates: Minimum of 4 feet.
- Female Candidates: Minimum of 3 feet.
Shot Put Throw
- Male Candidates: Required to throw a 16-pound shot put over a minimum distance of 16 feet.
- Female Candidates: Required to throw a 12-pound shot put over a minimum distance of 10 feet.
Bihar Police Constable Physical Standard Test (PST) Details
The Bihar Police Physical Standard Test is essentially a screening process to check if candidates meet the required physical standards for height, weight, and chest measurements. These criteria differ based on gender and category.
Height Requirements
- General Category (Male): Minimum 165 cm
- EBC/SC/ST (Male): Minimum 160 cm
- All Female Candidates: Minimum 155 cm
- Chest Measurement (For Male Candidates Only)
- General/EBC/BC (Male): 81 cm (unexpanded) with a minimum 5 cm expansion (up to 86 cm)
- SC/ST (Male): 79 cm (unexpanded) with a minimum 5 cm expansion (up to 84 cm)

A new login portal appears on the screen. Enter your Registration ID or Mobile Number, Date of Birth, and Captcha Code.
